The latest Pew Research Center survey of Americans’ attitudes about media now show nearly two-thirds believe that news stories often are inaccurate – a big shift since 1985 when only 34 percent felt that way. Pulitzer-winning College of Communication Dean Tom Fiedler thinks legitimate media are getting a bum rap.
